If you have used a mortgage provided by a lender in the country of your purchase to finance your investment you will require a current account to be set up in that country. Some lenders are able to do this for you automatically at the time of setting up the mortgage for you.

If this is not the case you may be able to use the Assetz Finance Overseas Current Account Service to do this instead. Equally if you have purchased a property abroad without a mortgage from a lender based in the overseas country you may still wish to set up a current account in this country in order to pay electricity or heating bills or simply use when you are on holiday there.
